The exhibition project Zoom on Type presents the type design practice of graphic and type designer Samuel Čarnoký. Through a site-specific installation of large-scale letterforms, it draws attention to type — its form, content, and subtle details shaped by both functional and aesthetic considerations. By magnifying the almost invisible nuances of type design, the exhibition reveals aspects of letterforms that readers usually perceive only subconsciously. It highlights type not only as a carrier of information, but also for its aesthetic, visual, and functional qualities. The unusual scale allows viewers to enter the installation, move around the letterforms, and experience type from new perspectives.
