A technical publication does not have to be just a boring textbook. a soft, “plastic” display typeface, bright colours, a well arranged infographic with key at the bookmark, rich pictorial material and a clear layout. The coloured trim of the pages serves a practical purpose besides its visual effect as well — it separates the chapters and therefore it helps the navigation and clarity of the publication. The book about plastics literally asks for glossy, shiny paper and a plastic cover.
