The name of the exhibition literally translates as “A flock of woodpeckers is teaching a horse...” and is a part of the Slovak language pangram. a pangram is a testing text used in typography to present a complete set of letters in a given language. Samo Čarnoký’s exhibition shows the endless process of creating an authorial typeface by showing samples from the work in progress. Using five letters of the alphabet — B L U E R (known as his street name in the streetart community), the author presents his five finished and published typefaces. In this way, he joins his “private” typeface work with his artistic works created in connection to urban spaces.
