At the beginning, there is the Initial... A digital display typeface and custom font, made specifically for the exhibition of the same name — Iniciála (Initial) — a materialized typeface in the form of a site-specific installation. The shapes of letters consist of pixels weaved into a net, which resembles the wire mesh used for installing works of art in the space of a small art gallery. The typeface only consists of uppercase characters of the basic alphabet, and punctuation marks and diacritics used in the Slovak language. The font was used and presented in the catalogue accompanying the exhibition.
